1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep in areas you don't would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.
Its design is also a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel that other robots can't. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. These robots come with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also come with various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it lacks some of the features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. 3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the best on the market however it's expensive.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that do very well at picking up debris on bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are other options on the market. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive however it comes with more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.

Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed close to an outlet that has enough space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It is sleek with a black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the immovable items in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky materials like cereal.
